CO-ED TEE-BALL OVERVIEW
Age: Pre-K and Kindergarten (5 years old by August 31st, 2025)
The Tee-Ball Division is a co-ed introductory division with a focus on the FUNdamentals of the game. Coaches will teach players how to throw, catch, field, and hit with proper mechanics in a fun and relaxed environment. No experience is required and for many this is their first introduction to the sport. Players must turn 5 years old by August 31st of the current year.
- This league uses a standard soft core tee-ball and batters will use a tee to hit the ball. A continuous batting order is used with all players batting each inning and getting on base. There are no runs or outs at this level. Players are meant to focus on learning the rules and skills of the game. Coaches are allowed on the field to help instruct and encourage player safety.
Tee-ball consists of a 12 game regular season starting in April and extends to the first week of June. Teams play two 3-inning games per week that will not exceed one hour in length. One game will be during the week (Monday-Thursday starting at 6 pm) and one on Saturday (9 am, 10:30am or 12 pm). Games and/or practices are held at either Lincoln Elementary School or Washington Commons. Prior to the start of the season, coaches will typically conduct at least one 1-hour long practice. There is no practice commitment once the season starts.
There are no player evaluations at this level. A player’s school, age and gender are taken into consideration when forming teams. This is intended to create balanced and fair teams. Schedules are not finalized or released until after the Mandatory Coaches Meeting in March.
